Frontline Medication is Safe and Effective, Just Follow The Directions

Frontline Medication

Frontline Medication is a safe and effective flea treatment for dog fleas, and for cats with fleas.

Fleas and ticks are no fun for your pet, and they can spread to your family. Take care of your pet with a flea medication that will work and be safe.

In fact, many veterinarians sell these flea and tick products through their offices. In almost all cases, for ordinary flea control, you don't need a prescription, you can buy this medication anywhere. You can get K-9 Advantix, Bayer Advantage for cats, or Frontline medicine online at a discounted price and with free shipping. It can be a much cheaper way to go.

How do different flea medications work?

We can examine Frontline Medication as an example, but many of the popular brands work in a similar way.

You simply take the applicator and apply a few flea drops to the back of your pet's head and along his spine (read package instructions carefully, as this may vary by product and animal type and size).

The medicine can stop fleas biting within three to five minutes, and 98-100% of the adult flea population is killed within 12-24 hours.

Although the current fleas will be dead, you have to keep using the flea medicine every month. Since flea eggs don't stick to your pet, any eggs that have been laid before the adults were killed, could still be in your house and yard.

That's why flea drops applied just once are not enough to keep the fleas and ticks off your pet and out of your house.

The good news is that you can wash your pet, or he can play in the water even with the flea medication on him, because the flea medicine is stored in his skin, not on his hair.

However, it only lasts for a month, so you'll need to reapply the Frontline Medication every month to keep it working.

Regular appliaction WILL eventually kill off the baby fleas and ticks that hatch before they can reproduce and break the flea and tick cycle permanently.

Get the dosage of your flea medication correct!

Also, when you are buying the flea medication, make sure you choose the right dosage for your pet. For example, for cats, some products have a size-break at nine pounds... you get one product for cats under that weight, and another product for cats over that weight.

This is a list of the sizes of Frontline Medication for dogs.

  • Frontline Plus Orange - For dogs up to 22 lbs.
  • Frontline Plus Blue - For dogs 23-44 lbs.
  • Frontline Plus Purple - For dogs 45-88 lbs.
  • Frontline Plus Red - For dogs 89-132 lbs.

Just read carefully when you're buying, so you can get the right one.

Keep after the fleas and you will get rid of them with a regular routine of flea control procedures.

If you haven't used Frontline Plus before, it's best to start out with a small order and make sure it doesn't irritate your pet, before you stock up and buy in bulk.

After 24 hours normal licking or grooming behaviors won't harm your pet.

Some pets are more sensitive than others, and you can still get great flea relief in another flea and tick spray, so your pet won't have to suffer.
