A Pomeranian Dog Toy
Is a Great Pet Gift Idea!

Do you own a Pomeranian breed dog? If so, you need to get him a pomeranian dog toy! Toys are essential for any dog for a number of reasons, but frisky, friendly Pomeranians are especially deserving of fun, safe, interactive dog toys that will help keep them stimulated.

Because they're such an intelligent, social breed, it's important that Pomeranians have fun toys to play with. Playing indoor fetch, wrestling in a tug war or chewing on something resilient can help keep Poms busy and prevent them from getting bored.

The key is to make sure they are fetching, tugging, and chewing on appropriate items and not on your furniture or clothes! With their sharp little teeth, Pomeranians can do a lot of costly damage to your personal property if their energies are not directed toward dog toys instead.

Why Do Dogs Need Toys?

What's the purpose of a pomeranian dog toy, you ask? Keeping your dog from destructive behaviors like chewing on your things (or self-destructive behaviors like chewing on their own paws or tails) is just one reason.

Another reason dog toys are so valuable is that they provide your dog with both mental and physical exertion. One of the nice things about owning a small dog like a Pomeranian, is that they can get a lot of the exercise they need to stay healthy by just running around indoors. Playing fetch in a hallway or straining to pull a toy out of your hand can be quite a workout for little dogs. Giving them a good reason to move and flex their muscles is an important characteristic of the right toys.

Also, if you haven't noticed... your dog tends to get himself into trouble when he's bored, at least mine does! Toys are a great form of mental stimulation for dogs which keep them busily occupied with something constructive, rather than concocting schemes to get up to mischief.

Imagine your dog lying bored around the house all day and occasionally seeking out risky entertainment like digging through the trash. Next, imagine his energy level and enthusiasm when you present him with a cherished play item. The difference in his attitude reflects the value he places on his toys and indicates the ability they have to spice up his life and giving him something to look forward to.

If your dog lies bored amongst his toys, take them away for a while when he's not playing with them. They'll create a whole new level of excitement if they are "special" items made artificially scarce and then presented again with much fanfare after he hasn't seen them for a while. Old toys will shine with a whole new luster, in his eyes!

Third, pomeranian dog toys can help your pet keep up his oral hygiene. I noticed when my dog Kera had only soft rubbery toys to chew on that she built up quite a bit of ugly brown plaque on her back molars. Now that she has a new hard plastic toy to chew on, a lot of that build-up is getting scraped away. And the process is a whole lot more fun for her then letting me try to brush her teeth!

Overall, you can see that pomeranian dog toys are not just about fun times with your dog - though they are certainly that! They are also about the safety of your personal possessions, your dog's level of fitness and mental acuity, and even about having a clean white smile!

So, the next time you're considering what to get your dog for that fun special occasion, consider a smart, safe pomeranian dog toy that you know he'll love!
