Premier Dog Collars:

The Everyday Fashion Statement

Premier dog collars let your dog look good even on Casual Friday when he doesn't have time to dress up!

No matter how cute they are in their outfits, some pups just aren't "dog enough" to wear their fancy designer dog clothes every day. Whether they reject cute dog apparel because it's too hot outside, they aren't allowed to get dirty when they're dressed up, or they just think it's itchy, never fear! Wearing a premier dog collar can be a fun, playful way to add color and style to your dog's wardrobe with or without designer dog clothes being included in the ensemble.

Premier dog collars are one item of dog apparel that no dog should be without. Dog collars assist in dog training and keeping your dog safe, as well as helping identify him, and (of course) giving him a great look!

What to look for in a Premier Dog Collar

1) First and foremost - it has to be comfortable! Itchy fabrics or tight, constricting collars are no fun and your dog won't rest till the collar is destroyed, or at least off of him!

2) Durability - Feather Boas and Velvet can be fun, but unless that type of dog collar is reserved for special occassions only, it won't stay cute for very long. Look for something that is washable or that can be wiped clean. At the very LEAST your dog should be able to wear a premier dog collar outdoors or give his neck a good scratch without your worrying it will be ruined.

3) The "IT" factor! That's right, if it doesn't capture attention, what fun is wearing a premier dog collar in the first place? Whether it's a masculine thick leather collar (metal studs anyone?) or something that screams "Pink!" look for something that really captures your dog's personality. Bright patterned nylon fabrics can be great!

I know a women who's dog is named Lady and she calls the dog "Lady Bug" as her nickname. How cute was she in her Lady-bug patterned dog collar!?!

Dressy collars and necklaces can also be fun on dogs. Think about throwing in a little juxtaposition... a "tough guy" collar on a Chihuahua is always good for laughs, and we all love seeing those so-ugly-they're-cute dogs dressed up so prim and proper.

Remember, your dog's premium dog collar is a way for him to make a fashion statement and for you to know he's safe wearing his collar and dog tags. Enjoy choosing a fun everyday collar for your dog. While you're at it, consider getting a few so your dog can mix and match according to mood and event!
